M-Tides
M-Tides is the official publication of Tidewater Mensa and is
published monthly. This online version contains Adobe Acrobat files

GENERAL
Mensa is an international society whose sole
membership requirement is a score in the top 2% of the general
populationon an approved intelligence test. Its sole purpose is to
serve as a means of communication and assembly for its members. It is
a not for profit organization, has no religious or political
affiliations, holds no opinions, champions no causes, and promotes no
official positions.

The opinions expressed in this newsletter are the
opinions of the authors, and not necessarily those of the Editor or
Officers of Mensa, although they just might be.
CONTRIBUTIONS OF M-TIDES OR WEBSITE
ARTICLES
Deadline for articles is usually the first Sunday
after the Ex-Comm sing, and preferred format electronic. Anonymous
contributions will not be printed; however, a name will be withheld on
request. The Editor reserves the right to edit all or part of any
items offered for publication.
CONTRIBUTOR COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT AND RELEASE
By submitting an original item for publication in M-Tides, or
tidewater.us.mensa.org, the contributing writer, artist, or
photographer indicates having read, and agreeing to, the following.
The copyright to creative material belongs to the originator, even
when the publication is copyrighted by the local group. The originator
grants a one-time license to the local group to publish the
contributed item in one issue of M-Tides. The originator also grants a
license to any other Mensa local group to republish the creative
material, provided appropriate attribution is shown giving credit to
both the originator and Tidewater Mensa. The recommended format is
"By [Originator Name], reproduced from M-Tides or
tidewater.us.mensa.org of Tidewater Mensa". However, if a
copyright notice for the originator appears with the item, specific
permission to reproduce the item must be obtained directly from the
originator. It is the policy of Tidewater Mensa to publish items only
when the original source of the creative material is known and rights
to reproduce it have been granted to Tidewater Mensa.
REPRINTS
All material in M-Tides is copyrighted, and may not be
reprinted in whole or part in any non-Mensa publication without prior
permission. Non-Mensan publishers may contact the
for reprint information.
Permission is hereby granted to Mensa publications to reprint any other M-Tides articles; Mensa editors are asked to please credit the originator, and send a copy of the reprint to the M-Tides .
