Registration rate(s): $75 per person (registration fee does not include hotel).

VERY IMPORTANT: TO GET THIS RATE YOU MUST REGISTER SEPARATELY FOR YOUR HOTEL ROOM (be sure & mention Mensa) BY OCTOBER 16, 2008.

Media Swap

The idea is very simple. Each of us brings some books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, tapes (VHS, betamax, cassette, 8-track,...) , etc. to the swap room Sunday morning and set them out on tables. Then we look around, and pick out ones that look interesting to take with us. The exchange is 1-for-1 (until the final clearance) and is on the honor system.

Typically, people come and go at various times and so there's a constant flux during the swap. The variety is impressive, and it's fun to hawk your favorites and swap opinions on the works—I've read books I'd never have touched (too embarassing) otherwise. We'll provide stickynotes if you'd like to post your comments on your media.

At the end of the session, everything must go and the 1-for-1 rule is suspended. Anything left over will go to a charity thrift store.

If you forget to bring anything, don't despair; we'll have a "guilt-free zone" can so you can drop in a small donation for the Tidewater Mensa scholarship fund and join the fun.
